(사)에이지연합은 2024년 8월30일 오후 3시 서울시청 박스락홀에서 제2회 세계시니어시티즌데이 행사를 "우리에게 정해진미래는 없다, 나이보다 능력"이라는 메인 주제로 개최하였다.
시니어시티즌스 데이 히어로는 노후소득보장, 일자리, 공공재정 및 공적연금 전문가이자 OECD, UN등 국제사회통으로 한국연금학회장을 지냈으며, 현재 연금 연구회를 이끌고 있는 윤석명박사를 경제사회부분 2024년 시니어 히어로로 선정, 수상하였다.
특히 이번 제2회 세계시니어시티즌데이에서는 "노인복지기본법 제정 촉구"를 위하여 취약계층 및 사회보장급여제도를 연구하고 있고 현 한국사회보장정보원 연구의원 및사회복지법제학회 지식분과 위원장인 "배유진 박사"의 "노인기본법 제정 의 필요성과 그의미"에 대한 특별강연을 듣고 각 단체대표들과 노인복지기본법 제정 촉구 성명서를 발표하는 의미 있는 시간을 갸졌다..
다음 순서로는 헤이데이즈 시니어 록 그롭의 특별공연을 진행하여,행사에 참석한 모든 시니어들 이 한마음으로 생의 정점에 서 클래식 록을 추구하는 시니어 록 밴드의 공연을 감상하며, 떼창을 즐기는 에너지를 분출하는 시간을 갖었다.
마지막으로 참석자 전원과 함께하는 사진촬영과 2025년 제3회 세계시니어시티즌데이 개최를 기약하며 행사를 마무리하였다.

The Ageplatform held the 2nd World Senior Citizens' Day event on August 30, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the Boxrock Hall of Seoul City Hall under the main theme, "There is No Predetermined Future for Us, Ability Over Age."
Dr. 윤석명, an expert in retirement income security, employment, public finance, and public pensions, who has served as the president of the Korean Pension Association and is currently leading the Pension Research Society, was selected and awarde
d as the 2024 Senior Hero in the economic and social sector.
A special lecture titled "The Necessity and Significance of Enacting a Basic Senior Welfare Law" was delivered by Dr. 배유진, who is currently a research member at the Korea Social Security Information Service and the chair of the Knowledge Subcommittee of the Korean Academy of Social Welfare Law. Following the lecture, representatives from various organizations released a joint statement urging the enactment of the Basic Senior Welfare Law, marking a significant moment in the event.
The event continued with a special performance by the Heydays Senior Rock Group, where all attending seniors united to enjoy the classic rock pursued by this senior rock band, creating an energetic atmosphere.
The event concluded with a group photo of all participants and a commitment to hold the 3rd World Senior Citizens' Day in 2025.
